A small-batch, four-color screen print inspired by my photograph of a retired sign at the American Sign Museum in Cincinnati. Printed by hand in bold colors and halftones to give it that DIY print style on 11 × 17-inch, 100 lb paper.

Description

Pizza King began as a photograph I took of a retired sign now housed at the American Sign Museum in Cincinnati, Ohio. I loved its character and turned my photo into an original print in my DIY style, using bold colors and halftones to give the familiar sign a new life on paper.

Each print was hand screen printed in four colors as part of a small batch. The finished artwork measures 11 × 17 inches and is printed on 100 lb paper. Look through the detail photos to see the halftones, color layers, and character up close.
